Interests

I love challenging myself to try new things. If I see someone else do something interesting, I immediately try to do something similar. Through trying new things I have found a keen interest in a variety of things. I have listed a few of those interests below.

Running and Weightlifting

I have always enjoyed sports. Some of my earliest childhood memories are me running around outside kicking a soccer ball with my family. As I grew older I focused primarily on swimming with little time for other sports. In 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic occurred I did not have access to a pool for almost one year. Not being able to swim forced me to explore my sport and fitness passions beyond the pool.

Eventually I started running and weightlifting everyday after completing zoom classes. I grew to enjoy the satisfaction of set goals, developing my physical abilities, and progressing over time. Running and weightlifting are also fun challenges that help me to grow.

Photography and Videography

With I was 12 years old my parent bought me my first Go Pro. That was the beginning of my passion for photography and videography. I would spend how with my friends recording mini online challenges and skits. As I got older and started traveling more I enjoyed take scenic videos and pictures to capture new places. I love photography and videography as it is a hobbies that allows me to be creative and focus on the beauty of the world around me.

Gardening

Gardening was also another interest that I pick up during the pandemic in 2020 and one that I still enjoy greatly today. I was inspired by see my grandpas massive garden filled with a variety of fruit trees and vegetable bushes. Wanting to recreate my grandpas garden in my own backyard, I planted my first seeds and was super excited to watch them grow. Unfortunately, after one month nothing grew. I quickly realized that I buried the seed in the dirt too deep, so I learned from my mistake and replanted new seeds. By the end of the summer I was able to enjoy the fruits of my labor as I have fresh from the garden fruits and vegetable from almost 3 months.

I love gardening even to this day because its a great metaphor for life.
